175th Thai-American Home Coming
To Amazing Thailand
(November 8-18 2008)

The Northern Thai Association New York would is pleased to invite all members and friends as well as interested people on a home coming journey to Thailand to join the robe offering ceremony and visit Northern provinces of Lanna Thai Culture including Chiang Mai, Chieng Rai , Phayao, Lampang, Tak, as well as Phisanulok and Nakhon Pathom during 7-18 Novemberm, 2008.

- Depart New York by CHINA AIRLINERS FLIGHT CI 011 at 9:45 PM.
   
Nov 9, 2008

- Arrive at Suvarnnabhumi Airport.By CI 833 around 12:30 Hrs. and connect the Thai Airways flight TG 116 To Chiang Mai.

- Check-in to the Sirinart Garden Hotel.
- Dinner hosted by the Alumni of the Northern Technical College..

8:00AM Sightseeing Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep
-Lunch at Suan Thip Restaur.
Visit Bor Sang and Choengmai Culture Hall.
-Visit Roong Arun Hot Spring.
-Dinner at Wat Mungsart Luang.

Breakfast at Hotel.
8:00 AM Leave for Wat Phratart Doi Kom.
- Visit Royal Flora Ratchaphruek.
- Lunch at the Park Restaurant.
- Visit Wat Muan San for the robe offering ceremony.
- Dinner at the Temple and at Leisure.
- Return to the Accomudation.
   
Nov 12, 2008

- Travel to Wat Tha Ton Amphur Mae Aiy
- Lunch at Temple followed by a tour around Wat Tha Ton guided by the Abbot.
- Pay homage to Phrathat Chedi Kaeo on the mountaintop and Kwan Yin Goddess of Mercy, and enjoy the mountainous scenery of the Twin Dragons over the Kok River
- Diner at Temple's dining hall (Wat Tha Ton Restaurant) before joining the Loi Krathong Festival along Kok River.
- Return to the accomodation.

   
Nov 13, 2008

- Breakfast at Wat Tha Ton's dining hall.
8:00AM Leave for the Thai-Myanmar Border at Amphur Mae Sai to shop for inexpensive products and visit Myanmar's Jade cutting factory within the Thai territory.
- Continue to the Golden Triangle.
- Enjoy lunch with dishes of fish from the Mekok River at a Restaurant by the Mekok River.
- Visit Chieng Saen-an ancient city of over 1,000 years old, fortified by city wall dating back to the times of the Thai-Burmese wars, and pay homeage to Phrathat Chom Kitti and Wat Chedi Luang.
- Check in to the Mekong Lodge.
- Dinner at the hotel hosted by Mayor of Muang Chieang Saen and joining the Loi Kratong Festival on the Mekong River.
- Return to the accomudation at 10:00 PM.

   
Nov 14, 2008 Breakfast at hotel.
8:00 AM Leave for Phra Tamnak Doi Tung to visit a garden of temperate flowers.
Suan Mae Fa Luang, the late Princess Mother's Royal Residence, and hall of the Princess Mother's biography. Shop for souvenirs from the Akha hilltribe.
- After lunch, visit Ban Kariang Ruam Mit, a Karen village where elephant trekking is available for sightseeing of nearby hilltribe villages.
- Return to the Saen Phu Hotel.
- Dinner at the hotel.
 
Nov 15, 2008

- Breakfast at hotel.
- Leave for Wat Rong Kun, a temple built in the elaborate Lanna Thai Style.
- Continue to Phayao , relax at Kwan Phayao Lake and have lunch t the restaurant by the lake. hosted by......at a restaurant by the lake.
- Try dishes of giant catfish, the world's largest fresh water fish weighing. approximately 360 Kg. and some other kind of fresh water fish cook in the Thai style.
- After lunch, pay homepage to Phrachao Ton Luang, a huge principal Buddha image of Wat Si Khom of Phayao.
- Continue to Lampang and chek-in to the accomodation at Mae Moh Power Plant.
- Dinner at Mae Mae Moh Restaurant.

- Breakfast at Ma Moh.
- Leave for Amphur Koh Ka to pay homage to Phathat Lumpang Luang and make merit.
- continue travel to Amphur Sam Ngao in Tak Providence
- Visit Bhumipol Dam, Thailand's largest and the world's third largest dam.
- Lunch at Bhumibol Dam's restaurant.
- Leave for Phitsanulok and check-in to the Amarin Lagoon Hotel.
- Dinner hosted by the Mayor of Mueang Phisanulok.

   
Nov 17, 2008

- Breakfast at hotel.
- Leave for Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat to pay homage to the sacred image of Phra Phutthachinarat.
-Take the Nakhonsawan- Chai Nat -Suphanburi route and stop for lunch on the way.
- Continue to the Rose Garden in Nakhon Pathom for cultural performances and admire the beauty of the place.
- Dinner and Farewell reception at the Rose Garden Restaurant hosted by the TAT New York Office.
- Check-in to the Whale Hotel in Nakhon Phathom.

   
Nov 18, 2008

- Breakfast at hotel.
- Leave for Phra Pathom Chedi.
- Continue to the Don Wai Floating Market to experience the authentic Thai life style by the river and try a variety of Thai foods and desserts (Lunch at Leisure) Rafting along the Tha Chin River is available.
- Return to Bangkok at Ratchada City Hotel, Huai Khwang. Tel: 02-275-0088.
